My research is focused on optics and biophysics, and collaborators include professors & students at Wake Forest University, Atrium Health/Wake Forest Baptist, Univ. of Minnesota, Indiana University at Purdue University – Indianapolis, Univ. of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Current research includes:
- studies on the motion of double-strand breaks in DNA in cancer cell nuclei;
- optical microscopy – fluorescent imaging in 3D using diffractive optical elements;
- structural properties of fibrin fibers and clots that they form.
